The Forest Bathing Experience

Forest bathing, known in Japan as shinrin-yoku, is the simple practice of slowing down and spending intentional time among trees and nature. It may be as simple as noticing sunlight through leaves, the texture of bark, sounds moving through branches, moss beneath your feet, or details you might otherwise pass without seeing. Forest Bathing invites you to experience the forest rather than hurry through it. A forest contains growth and decay, stillness and movement, young life and ancient life, all existing together. Spending time within that living complexity can remind us that we are not separate observers of nature. We are part of it.
